KA-BAR USMC FIGHTING/UTILITY KNIFE

The iconic KA-BAR USMC Fighting/Utility knife was born from the flames of the Second World War.  The American government put out a request for a robust fighting/utility knife and several cutlery companies stepped up to the plate.  Union Cutlery produced a fighting/utility knife branded with one of its trademarks, “KA-BAR”.  The knife was favored by the troops for its quality and soon all fighting/utility knives became known simply as “KA-BAR’s” by American troops.

The legendary blade hasn’t changed much since World War II, proving its worth in combat around the globe.

The KA-BAR Fighting/Utility knife has a 7″ blade made from 1095 Cro-Van steel, making it easy to sharpen and producing excellent edge retention.  The handle is comprised of stacked leather washers.  The knife has an overall length of 11 7/8″.  The KA-BAR USMC Fighting/Utility knife is sold with a leather sheath with USMC insignia.

The KA-BAR USMC Fighting/Utility knife is proudly made in the USA in Olean, NY.  As of 2015 the current MSRP is $113.16, but can be found from KA-BAR dealers in the $80 price range.  As all KA-BAR products, the KA-BAR USMC Fighting/Utility knife has our limited lifetime warranty against manufacturer’s defects.
