2012 SHOT Show and New KA-BAR

The SHOT Show is an opportunity to showcase new products, meet with customers, and interact with the media.  SHOT Show 2012 was a success for KA-BAR on all fronts.  KA-BAR unveield six new knives, six redesigned knives, and three new accessories.

Four new fixed blades have been added to the KA-BAR Becker Knife & Tool line: the BK4 Machax and three Short Beckers, BK15, BK16, and BK17.  All the new Becker fixed blades feature 1095 cro-van steel blades and Zytel handles.  The Short Beckers will come packaged with an additional set of brown Zytel handles.  The Becker Knife & Tool line is made in the United States of America.

The KA-BAR Combat Kukri was also unveiled at the 2012 SHOT Show.  American-made, the Combat Kukri has a 1095 cro-van blade and Kraton G handle.  It measures 13 3/8″ overall and has a 8 1/2″ blade.

The KA-BAR Zombie Chop Stick is the newest addition to the KA-BAR Original Zombie Knives line.  Measuring 14 5/8″ with a 9″ blade, the Chop Stick is a heavy duty knife.  Made of SK5 steel, the Chop Stick comes with a set of green handles as well as a set of black handles and a small skeleton knife.

Redesigned knives for 2012 include four folding knives formerly in the KA-BAR K2 line and the Zombie MULE folder.  The Agama, Gila, Komodo, and Tegu folders now feature G10 handles and a stainless steel blade.  The Zombie MULE sports a nuclear green Zytel handle and is available with a straight or serrated edge.

Accesories for 2012 include a Zytel handle set for the BK14 Eskabar, a tin Original Zombie Knife sign, and an Original Zombie Knife t-shirt.
